No help what so ever. Horrible!
I can't believe the regulators let these guys run high level scams like the one they pulled on me. They let you prepay for every car they DO NOT HAVE sitting on the lot, and then try to hand out a measly Sonata as your consolation prize when you show up like the loser you are for choosing these guys. Refund you say? Try sitting on the line for an eternity only to get transferred around some more. As a comparison, try booking ANYTHING from their competitors at the same location right now, and you will be promptly greeted with a message that says "sorry. We're sold out on the dates you selected". Yep, no other rental business ever attempts to make money from hassling their customers. Keep away from this specific Hertz!
This company is a joke they charge you $9.99 if you don't pay for there gay charges, they are a scam business waiting to take your money
EDIT: I am considering forming a class to bring these rascals to justice. If anyone of you have been scammed by this Hertz location like I was, then let me know here. The exact nature of this scam is as follows: they let you book a car that has a higher daily rate, and when you show up to pick your car--they offer you some other vehicle that costs half of what you had initially booked but you wont get offered any discount. If you refuse to bite into their shenanigans, they'll give you a pamphlet with their sales department's telephone number. The sales dept is next to impossible to reach due to "high volume of calls", but if you do accidentally stumble upon them--they'll politely tell you that your refund has been processed and that you will see it back on your card in two weeks (lol). Well, they'll keep feeding you the two weeks story until many many months go by. At that point, they'll tell you that "you never showed up to pickup your car, so why should we give you your money back". Eh..slight problem, Hertz. I have a video footage of my transaction at your office :( Anyhow, I was at the Champaign County Court yesterday to file a small claims suit against Hertz when a lawyer writing up a paper overheard my conversations with the clerk, and advised me to go the class action route as it would be more beneficial for the community as a whole. You just crossed the wrong dude this time, Hertz :)
Best experience ever renting with Hertz the staff was absolutely amazing!!! I definitely will be utilizing Hertz next time I travel. Great job!
I recently came to Champaign to visit family and was extremely impressed with the Hertz location at the airport. Their hours are listed until 9pm and due to weather my flight was delayed until 9:15. It was 9:20 before I got to the counter and they had stayed open for me! I ended up with a nice upgrade as well as service with a smile. The desk guy (sorry, I forgot his name) was excellent, and remembered me when I came back to return a few days later. Definitely one of my best Hertz experiences!
