The Avis agent made some mistakes, and the mistakes caused the system charged us more than twice of the correct amount when we returned the car.

Based on their attitude about this case, I think it is clear that they want to cheat our money.

When we received the refund, it's been more than a month since we returned the car,

When i am returning my car i tell them at desk i didn't filled up gas in ur car .and guy name james he said he will take care of it.and i got charged $149.00 and i call them back he said that for gas they didn't inform me they will charge me $10 gallon otherwise i can go back and filled up by my self for $30 .they stupid just cheat with customers. And if go there and if u see james be carefull because he will not inform you about any policy.

Almost forgot--if you require a 5-star service, ask for Stephanie.

This is a cute wittle location that is possibly run by the corporation itself, so there isn't much headache involved. Usually, in a small town like Champaign it is impossible to find a nice rental place that isn't in the business of ruining your day. Speaking of small towns, this location is, however, afflicted with a specific small town problem--the Chevy bias. My recent rental was a relatively new Impala that handled like a horse with an enlarged, infected prostate. Through no faul of this Avis outlet, though, the car also had some burnt out bulbs. It's something I expected after looking at the bowtie logo on the key they gave me at the time of rental. In my mind, it's a non-optional social convention to thoroghly check the vehicle for issues if it's a GM product.

Nice Car. Value for the money. Nice Staff. The Timings could have been bit better, Like I wanted the car early but the location was starting @ 9:00 AM only. The only way I could have get the Car early is to take it on previous night for which I would had to pay 1 day rent.The staff was cooperating. The car was clean and almost new.

After that, we called some agents and the manager at the same locality and spent a lot of time because most of them were not willing to deal with this problem.

When we found out he deceived us, we called the customer service, but the customer service refused to deal with this problem.

Employees who work in a company like this should be ashamed.

What good is a review without any suggestions for improvement? My only suggestion to them would be a request for introducing more Ford vehicles into their fleet :)

To dispel any negativity potentially imbued in this review, I must admit that from here on out this location will be my only source of auto rental. I am a corporate customer who needs to travel twice a year to DC, and this Avis will get my money. I get great rates with my business AWD!

I am really disappointed with the customer service at the Avis location in Champaign, Illinois. I went to pick up the rental car I had reserved on Thursday, Oct 5th and the employee did not inform me that I was being charged extra because I picked up 30 minutes before. My reservation was for 9pm and I got the car around 8:40pm. The lady entered 8:29pm on her computer on purpose just so I would be charged an extra hourly rate. Had the lady at the desk told me I would be charged extra, I would have just waited till 9pm to pick up the car. I was never informed that I was being charged extra for arriving early. Moreover, once I reached home, the GPS stand was missing and the location was closed by the time I had reached home. I had to wait till the next morning for the location to open to get the GPS stand. I had to return the car in Oakville, ON Canada on Friday Oct 6th and I was planning to leave at 6am but I couldn't even leave Champaign till the Avis location opened at 730am in the morning. So my travel was delayed due to a mistake on their behalf. Once I reached there, I asked them about the extra charge, I was told I had to return the car in 24 hours from when I picked up the car in order to get a return for the extra charge. It was a really stressful drive since I had to make sure I arrived in time and I left late only because I wasn't given the proper customer service. I am highly disappointed and I hope this is not the last time I rent a car from Avis. It was my first time rental from Avis and I am definitely not happy with my experience.

The next day, we called the agent who rented us the car, and he deceived us that we would get the refund in two weeks(we did not get the refund in two weeks).

and Avis did not compensate the time and effort we spent on fixing the mistakes that made by these Avis employees.
